Each one is cut from a piece of natural salt with an opening in the top for a tea light. Instead of the usual glass or metal holder, you get a solid piece of rock salt around the candle.
With eight in the set, there are plenty of ways to use them. They can also be split between different rooms rather than all being kept together.
Eight Natural Salt Pieces
Do not expect every holder to look the same.
Some may be pale pink while others have much deeper orange areas. You might also see lines through the salt or rougher edges around some pieces.
The shape can vary slightly as well.
Once the candles are lit, the colour becomes much more noticeable. Some holders may let more light through than others depending on the thickness of the salt.
That gives the whole set a less uniform look than eight identical glass candle holders.
Looking After Them
Salt is best kept dry.
If the holders get dusty, then wipe them with a dry cloth. Avoid washing them under running water or leaving them somewhere that stays damp.
The rougher edges can also chip if they get knocked against something hard.
When the candles are not being used, just keep the holders somewhere dry until you want them again.
