Each one is handmade and has a small space in the middle for a tea light. The star shape gives them a more decorative look than the usual round salt candle holders.
The salt itself can vary quite a bit. One star may be pale pink while the other has stronger orange areas or darker lines through it. You may also notice small differences around the points of the star.
That is normal with handmade salt pieces.
Once you add a tea light, the candlelight comes through the salt and makes the colour stand out more. Thicker parts of the star may stay darker while other areas let more of the light through.
Make sure the holder is sitting flat before using.
Keep the holders somewhere dry when not in use. A dry cloth is usually enough if they need a quick clean.
Will Both Stars Look the Same?
They will look like a matching pair but they probably will not be identical.
One may be a little lighter than the other or have more orange running through the salt. The points can vary slightly too because each holder is finished by hand.
That difference is part of the natural look.
If Wax Gets on the Salt
A little wax can sometimes end up around the opening.
Wait until everything has cooled before trying to remove it.
Do not wash the holder under the tap. It is better to carefully remove the loose wax and wipe the salt with a dry cloth afterwards.
