It is a good size if you want something bigger than the smaller salt lamps.
When it is switched off you see more of the pink colour in the salt. Turn the light on and it starts to look more orange.
They are all made by hand. The shape will not be exactly the same every time. Some are a bit taller, some are wider, and you may see darker lines or marks through the salt. You may also see darker lines or patches running through the salt.
That is just how natural Himalayan salt looks.
The lamp comes with a 3-pin UK plug and two spare bulbs, so you already have replacements there when you need them.
At 6–8kg it is quite a solid lamp, so I would put it on something sturdy. A good side table or cabinet would be better than a thin shelf.
This size sits nicely between the smaller salt lamps and the really heavy ones. It is big enough to be noticed but still manageable if you ever need to move it.
