This is a very big Himalayan salt lamp and weighs around 25–30kg.

At this size it is much more of a statement piece than a normal table lamp. You will probably want to choose where it is going before you unpack it properly because moving 25–30kg of salt around the room is not something you will want to keep doing.

The lamp sits on a solid wooden base which gives it a steady surface underneath. It also comes with a bulb and cable included, so the main parts you need are already there.

Once the lamp is switched on, the light comes through the salt and brings out more of the pink and orange colour. Some areas can look brighter than others and the thicker parts of the salt may stay quite dark.

Because this is natural Himalayan salt, the shape and markings will vary from one lamp to another. You might see rough edges, darker patches or natural lines running through the piece.

A lamp this size can work well standing on the floor or on a very strong low cabinet. It is not something I would put on a light shelf or small table.

It is also worth checking the space before ordering. The exact shape can vary, so one 25–30kg lamp may be wider or taller than another.
